Who Do You Trust To Deliver Your Pricey Furniture?
This is a very important question that very few companies (and clients) ask.
Over the last years in our delivery business, I came to see some scenarios repeating themselves frequently.
For instance, I’ve come across a great furniture company that doesn’t offer delivery of the expensive purchased item; and leaves it to your discretion to hire a company e.g. A store in down Town who doesn’t deliver its cozy sofas, would allow any company to deliver their sofas.
Customers, desperately wanting their new cherished item deliver would, more often than not, hire the first “cheap” company they come across. Unfortunately, the new long-waited-for item arrives with some of damages, scratches and deformations!!
Another scenario is a modest furniture company that delivers the goods in an awfully modest way e.g. many of the used furniture companies will treat your used furniture in a not-so-quality way. Though some savvy people opt for used furniture than buying new expensive ones, delivery plays a huge factor in prolonging the life of the already used furniture.
A third scenario is a great company that delivers in a terrifically good way e.g. one of the great companies takes care of your delivery from the moment you step into their shop to the moment the furniture is placed in its cherished spot in your apartment.
But this great company usually demands an exorbitant price for their service; whereas you could have saved around 30-40% of the delivery bill had you placed some phone calls to companies offering quality delivery/shipping services – like 24 Sevens.
A fourth scenario entails a modest company delivering in a great way. And so far I haven’t come across such a company.
But who knows?!
May be one day I’ll come across one.
